Introducing the Liberty Straw Poll: A new campaign support system for pro-liberty candidates
A new political campaign promotional system, the Liberty Straw Poll, has been created to raise awareness and funding for candidates at all levels of government who best promise to serve the people with a platform of freedom, prosperity and peace through adherence to the rule of law, the U.S. Constitution.
The Liberty Straw Poll events are centered around an Internet broadcast where select candidates each get an equal speaking turn to compete for straw poll votes. Straw poll voting tickets are available to anyone who made a donation to a sponsor PAC in exchange for a straw poll voting ticket. Voting takes place online and will conclude after all the candidates have had their turn to speak. The ticket revenue will then be distributed to the candidates based on the voting results.
"The Liberty Straw Poll has been made possible though an accumulation of pro-liberty grassroots efforts that utilize key Internet technologies including online radio, e-commerce and web based social networking tools," said Bryan Thome, the project organizer. Mr. Thome added, "Our team doesn't take in any of the straw poll donations. We are all unpaid grassroots activists with a love of individual freedom who each brings a different skill to the table to help make the project successful."
The Liberty Straw Poll's inaugural event will take place on Constitution Day, September 17th, and will feature seven pro-liberty Congressional candidates who are seeking their first terms in office.
The show will be hosted by Kurt Wallace of the weekday radio show "Wake Up America" on Break The Matrix. There will also be a round table discussion featuring Thomas E. Woods, Jr. and Jack Hunter. Mr. Woods is a New York Times bestselling author and a Senior Fellow at the Ludwig von Mises Institute. Mr. Hunter is a conservative commentator on WTMA 1250 AM talk radio in Charleston, South Carolina and a columnist for the Charleston City Paper who has a national following. More commentators and special guests may be added to the line-up.
The live show begins at 7:30pm Eastern with the candidates speaking starting at 8:00pm. The event can be heard on RevolutionBroadcasting.com and BreakTheMatrix.com. Other media outlets interested in carrying the show can inquire on the project's website.
Tickets to vote are now available on the project's website www.LibertyStrawPoll.com with a $10 donation to the event's sponsor PAC, the American Liberty Coalition (alcpac.com). ALCPAC has produced exceptional work to support pro-liberty campaigns throughout the current election cycle and operates with no internal expenses.
The new Freeople (freeople.com) website is serving as the Liberty Straw Poll's online payment and voting system partner. Freeople is a website dedicated to promoting the global cause of freedom by providing an integrated toolset for pro-freedom candidates.
More details on the Liberty Straw Poll project and the September 17th event can be found on the project's website, www.LibertyStrawPoll.com.

I hope that we make this event huge and encourage all our liberty minded candidates across the land! I got my tickets and on Freeople it was really easy! Just click on the Liberty Straw Poll in the banner or under the Donation Tab.
You know, I've missed voting in all those online polls recently. So now I have my tickets and will vote every one of them on September the 17th. The more tickets you buy the more votes you get for your favorite candidate. I hope this ripples across the country and multiplies into fundraisers in every state for all the terrific candidates who have entered the arena because of our favorite Champion of the Constitution - Ron Paul. Let's send him some help in Congress and Restore the Republic ASAP!
Let's make the Liberty Straw Poll the event of the Season - For Liberty!!
