Paul added to Louisiana presidential ballot

Posted October 13th, 2008 by oilpatch2

"Louisiana will be only one of two states where voters will have the opportunity to pull the lever for Paul, a congressman from Texas who ran unsuccessfully for the Republican presidential nomination. Paul built a wide coalition of grass roots support that helped him raise tens of millions of dollars for his campaign."

The other state is Montana.

Dr. Ron Paul still has a chance to make history. Very confusing to say the least. Chuck Baldwin has been endorsed by Dr. Paul and now we have word that Dr. Paul will be on two states ballots.

Should he be a write-in?

Dr. Paul needs to make clear that if he does not want the write-in, and I think he has by his endorsement of Chuck Baldwin, then we need to write-in Chuck Baldwin and give our full support in that direction.

"I am thrilled that Ron Paul will be on your ballot in LA as I supported his candidacy and have joined his www.campaignforliberty.com and encourage virtually everyone I encounter to join too. There are already over 115,000 signed up and we all realize it is up to each of us to tell others about this movement so it will grow in time to be able to elect men and women to Congress who share out advocacy of the principles of the Founders as enshrined in the Constitution.
Ron Paul has voted against any Federal program which is not authorized in the Constitution, Arrticle 1 Section 8. He stood alone with his no vote over 300 times and serves as an example to those of us who will stand for election in future elections in every Congressional district in the country.
Ron Paul has recommended in his best seller, The Revolutionl: A Manifesto that we all learn by reading books he lists in the bibliography. Many are found at www.mises.org. He also suggested Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged.
We are caught up in a battle for our liberty which is a battle of ideas. We must acquire the knowledge we need, not just about economics but also about politics, ethics and philosophy, if we are to understand the premises underlying the policies being implemented and at issue in these elections. As you can see the present election is more like an American Idol contest. All the candidates speak very abstractly without revealing just what they believe and what they propose to actually do.
Too understand the premises being hidden by both McCain and Obama I would suggest reading For The New Intellectual, The Virtue of Selfishness and Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal and The Objectivist Newsletter, all by Ayn Rand and available at www.aynrand.org then click on Ayn Rand then non-fiction then page 2

Her philosophy provides a unique rational perspective and she was a strong advocate of individual rights and a free society. Please do not be put off by her personal lack of faith. She was a brilliant mind! Enjoy"

"WHERE AS RON PAUL IS MY ABSOLUTE BEST CHOICE FOR PRESIDENT, WE MUST THINK ABOUT THE UPCOMING ELECTION.
1st IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT WE KEEP RON PAUL'S NAME AND MESSAGE IN EVERYONE'S MIND. TO BUILD AND KEEP HIS REVOLUTION GOING AND DOING ALL WE CAN TO MAKE IT STRONGER.
IT IS ALSO MOST IMPORTANT TO MAKE A 3rd PARTY CANIDATE STRONG AND UNIFIED IN THIS ELECTION. RON PAUL HAS DROPPED OUT OF THIS RACE AND ENDORSED CHUCK BALDWIN. IT WOULD MAKE SENSE FOR EVERYONE TO SUPPORT AND VOTE FOR CHUCK BALDWIN FOR PRESIDENT AT THIS TIME AND PRAY AND PRAY FOR A MIRACLE,
IN FULL SUPPORT FOR RON PAUL AND HIS REVOLUTIOIN"..........George Tolhurst
I might agree in any other state

but if I was in Louisiana or Montana, there's no way I would miss the one chance in history to vote for Ron Paul for President!

If you are one of the few, few lucky states that have him on your ballot, for crying out loud, VOTE FOR RON PAUL!

The rest of us jealous babies will have to write in Chuck Baldwin -- who's not even on my state's ballot, incidentally.

Re: I might agree in any other state

It is very unfortunate that many of the states have made it difficult or impossible to write in or have a true contender placed on the ballot. Ron Paul is clearly a better choice for the up coming presidential spot. He has woke many of us out of our slumber and doing a great job of keeping us up to date with new events and ideas. It is our job now to follow through.

Again I feel very confused as to which name to write in. I know Ron Paul has endorsed Chuck Baldwin, but if I had my 'dreather, it would be Ron Paul for president.

Dr. Paul needs to continue to make very clear to all, that we should all place Chucks name on the ticket if We the People were planing to vote for Paul. The two have been to many gatherings as of late and so again, I must stick with the plan of Dr. Paul's. Write in Chuck Baldwin if need be or punch his name for president, so as to not dilute the numbers for the Constitution party ticket.

Cheers,
