Teachers in Texas allowed to carry guns

The uprise of violence in America's schools has brought about a new perspective, allowing teachers to carry authorized concealed weapons to school. I agree with this crisis management approach.

While elementary schools are rarely targets of violent intention, middle and high school students around the country continually are caught with knives and guns. We must also remember the horrific incident at Columbine High School, as well as the massacre at Virginia Tech. These are perfect examples of the violence prevalent within our young people.

In response to this press release, a criminal psychologist recently told me..."Gang members manage to arm themselves, illegally mind you, and weapons/guns are easily available for most students, so why has society been reluctant to fight back? Children deserve to be safe, especially in our schools. This is an important step in taking back our power".
