Everyone needs to see Jim Rogers really give it to the people at CNBC. I couldn't help but be appalled at how some of these people do not have a clue as to what is going on. Also, don't forget about the government now restricting short selling on Financial Firms. I thought America was a free market. This is such a joke.

Wow ... everyone in the United States needs to watch that video. What a bunch of clowns on CNBC. They clearly don't have the first clue how the markets work. I love when he suggests that the one woman maybe needs to get another job if she doesn't understand what's currently happening.
As usual the media keeps telling everyone that "everything is going to be ok as long as we think good thoughts". I know some may think the media is trying to hide the true story from the American people. I don't believe that's the case at all ... I think the truth is they have absolutely no clue. Just a bunch of talking heads without any understanding of what they communicate.
It seems as though someone should have shared a quick study in economic perspective, theory, and principle with the folks on CNBC before they tackled this issue with Jim Rogers.
I'm glad most of my personal gains are held the old fashioned way...stuffed under my mattress :)
My gains are held in gold/silver. Haven't had more than a month or two supply of cash in a bank for about 1.5 years.
The gov't turns a blind eye to other facets of the market while it helps others. There is a problem with naked-short selling and it should be investigated. Right now, I'm losing money in the mining sector (gold juniors) and the theory is that naked-short sellers are manipulating the markets...
But if you really want to see gov't intervention in the markets, look up the Exchange Stabilization Fund and watch the currency/gold markets. It is amazing what goes on here...

Wasn't hope the only thing that was trapped in Pandora's Box and not let out? I think the Greeks thought hope was a bad thing because of situations like this....
I hope I am remembering that story correctly, forgive me if I'm way off base.
