Gary Casey announces Canvassing Blitz on Tulsa

Posted September 12th, 2008 by GaryCasey2008

If you haven't been keeping up on the local political scene in Tulsa, let me give you a quick synopsis and how it is affecting the election cycle this year.

Between the forced building of mental health facilities in poor north Tulsa neighborhoods, astronomical property tax assesments on land surrounding the future baseball stadium, a 451 million dollar road repair tax increase, or forced integration of a drug abuse pilot program in a Tulsa Public School near the Fulton neighborhood; many citizens of Tulsa are in a state of rebellion against poor representation in many levels of local government.

If there has ever been a time that the principles of good government are needed in Tulsa, it is now. The need for principled leadership is not just a good idea, it is absolutely fundamental to preserving a standard of liberty and respect for ourselves and our neighbors in Tulsa and eventually to the entire state and beyond. We have a unique opportunity to carry on the torch of accountability and honesty in our city, county, and state government this November.

After several weeks of talking to people door to door I know now that there is a great burden of responsibility on our shoulders. I say "ours", because it is our city, our state, our freedom, our friends, and our family that need help. I've never been so sure of anything in life than what I feel in my heart right now, and that is an overwhelming sense of duty and compassion for the people who have been lied to, slighted, marginalized, villified, and put down for standing up for themselves against the tyrants running Tulsa. Over the last year many of us know exactly how these people feel having been villified and marginalized ourselves for exercising our rights.

Young or old, male or female, this is our generation. This is the age we all live in. This is our government. It only takes us uniting with the hearts and minds of the people to take back what is rightfully ours: our God-given freedom. The machines of the two-party system are just that, machines, vehicles which carry us to our destination. There may be sugar in the gas tank right now, but we will rebuild this engine. The damage has been assesed. The parts are being gathered and it's time to go to work. It will take all of us working hand-in-hand to accomplish this feat. If you have the time and it is in your heart to do so, please join us this Sunday, or any other day you can spare, to begin building the framework of the government we all deserve to have. We'll be canvassing for myself in Senate District 33, Sally Bell in County Commissioner District 2, and Jay Ramey in House District 66 from 2pm until dusk. Yard signs, T-shirts, bumperstickers, and fliers will be available.

(Sally and Jay dependent upon availability of materials that day).

Please keep an eye on the calendar if you can't make this one as more will follow on a frequent basis until November.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you have done, do, and will do in the future.

In Love and Liberty.

-Gary
